UltraStar
Multi-tainment

In 2020 UltraStar gave their logo an update, but due to a worldwide pandemic and cutbacks, a full brand identity was never developed - leaving Ultrastar with a fresh new logo but an all around inconsistent visual system. Their ads, internal signage, and social media presence were all very scattered, visually. I joined UltraStar full time in May of 2024 and immediately began to update everything. The first problem I ran into was that I didn’t have a brand guide to go by and I really didn’t have any parameters because there was no identity. What are our brand elements? What are our display and body copy fonts? I took some time, dug into the brand, and developed their identity. Over the course of several weeks and meetings for the purpose of getting to know the company, who they serve, who their target audience is, what their tone and messaging is, we’ve come up with a visual system and identity that is consistent across the board.

Brand Development - New Graphics & Signage

Your brand should have a cohesive look and feel across all of it’s different elements. Essentially, if you took your logo off of your ads, posts, merchandise, and promotional materials, people should be able to tell that they’re all a part of the same brand system.

Motion Graphics

A big project that needed an overhaul were the motion graphics. UltraStar is located in the Harrah’s Cherokee and Valley River Casinos and has ad space in both locations. You can now find these updated motion graphics promoting UltraStar’s different attractions throughout the casinos.
